Who is behind Sahem UAE?
Sahem Managing Community Initiatives, a UAE organisation that has run community, sustainability and social-responsibility programmes since 2013. The Sahem UAE app is its digital platform for giving.
What can I donate?
In-kind items such as clothes, furniture, books, appliances and more, or money to a charity campaign of your choice.
Do I need to take my items anywhere?
No. You create a request and the Sahem team collects your items from your door, free of charge.
Where does my donation go?
To one of our partner charities, all licensed in the UAE. You choose the charity when you place your request.
Can I follow my donation?
Yes. You can follow the progress of every donation inside the app.
What is the loyalty programme?
A programme for our donors with travel offers, discounts and more from our partners, available in the app.
Can I donate without the app?
Yes. You can request a pickup or give to a campaign here on the website. To follow your donation step by step and see your points and certificates, use the Sahem app.
Is the pickup really free?
Yes. There is no charge to collect your items from your door.
Which areas do you cover?
We collect across the UAE: Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.
How do I earn points and certificates?
You earn points when your donation is received and approved. Once your points reach a set level, you receive a donation certificate.
What items can’t you accept?
We accept items in good, usable condition. We can’t collect damaged, unsafe or expired items.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Campaign donations are paid through a secure, encrypted payment page, and your receipt is sent to your email.
